The
annual Moondance Columbine Awards, which promote non-violent conflict
resolution in the arts & film, are presented to authors and filmmakers
of selected written works and films which are entered in each year's
competition. The special
Moondance Columbine Film Production Fund is to help writers and filmmakers
to create stories and to produce films that promote peace & understanding,
whether personal, local, national or international. Please check out the Columbine
Awards Guidelines on the website.
The Film Festival is grateful for any donations & contributions toward
the success of this vital & on-going project. Your contribution will be
noted in the newsletter, on the website sponsor page & in the festival
print program. Your donation may also remain anonymous, if you prefer.
The Moondance International Film Festival, in Boulder, Colorado, has, since
it was founded in 1999, actively promoted & encouraged non-violent conflict
resolution in film, television & writings; depictions of women & girls
in a positive manner; and appreciation of ethnic diversity. The Film Festival's
mission is to educate & promote real alternatives to violent conflict resolution,
as well as cultural understanding and peace among the peoples of the world.
